The Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Renewable Energy (SSS-NIRE) is being established as an autonomous institution in district Kapurthala, Punjab.(Adhikhui Village ( 12 Kms. From Jallandhar),Jallandhar- Kapurthala Road, Punjab.) NIRE will serve as the technical focal point for development of bio-energy, including bio-fuels, and synthetic fuels.

The Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Renewable Energy (SSS-NIRE) is in the process of being established in Kapurthala, Punjab. SSS-NIRE, when completed, would become the technical focal point for bioenergy, including biofuels, and synthetic fuels.

Progress of Construction Works

     The work of construction of buildings and other infrastructure development of campus has been entrusted to Central Public Works Department (CPWD) on “Deposit Work” basis. CPWD has reported the overall progress of completion of building and services as 71% of awarded works so far.
